the drive fromthe airport to venice was exhausting, nervewraking and fun!!! :) italian roads are crazy and we were both tired .. lol and i was haivng to get used to the 'wrong side of the road' stuff .. the 'wrong side of the car' was the hardest bit .. kept trying to change gear by putiing my hand into the door pocket ... and the roads ... signage .. minimal and usually visable 2 seconds after it would of been useful and useable... slip roads terrifyingly short and twisty.. italian driver .. that night the aveage speed on the autostrade was around 200kmh ... baring in mind the limit is 130 and that relates to 81mph ... ..we stopped of at a servise station and grabbed some lovely food affter overcoming our lack of italian laugage skill or knowledge of coustoms, was fun and we discovers italy have BOSS kinder eggs .. thay are well better than ours. then we drove to venice and tried to find a place to park up and kip .. figured we may as well sleep in the car and get started early next day ... well .. its impossible to sleep in a service station carpark there .. they are tiny and noisey. we tried two then gave up and tried a slip road .. which was also very noisey then drove in to the suburbs and slept in a quiet carpark :) slept not to bad considering we were in a matiz and they are tiny, and we had all the luggage in the back too!!!
